This morning the boys and I picked my dad up and we headed into downtown Puyallup for the parade. The fair begins today, which is wonderful and terrible all at the same time. Wonderful because when you're a Puyallup girl like me, the fair and its smells and sounds bring back all kinds of great memories. But terrible because the traffic is a nightmare. We found a nice spot along the parade route. Owen loved the horses the most. Several of the Emerald Ridge HS football players stopped to give him high-fives, which he thought was really cool! The marching bands sounded great, the tractors were all polished up, and the air was filled with excitement for the fair.
Chris and I haven't picked which day we'll go to the fair this year. We're really looking forward to letting him go on rides. And I'm going to take him down the super slide! One year my friend Jenny and I went on the slide 29 times in a row. Perhaps when Owen is older, he and I can attempt to break that record.
Fun times! Owen loved his first parade. Logan looked around quite a bit before falling asleep. Unfortunately, neither were feeling very photogenic today so this is the best picture I have. Oh well.
