Mt. Rainier Part II

I'm going post-happy these days. If I don't get things written down as soon as they happen, I forget.

We headed back up to Mt. Rainier today. We knew it would be rainy but thought it would be fun to wander around the visitors' center at Paradise. The weather was actually decent at lower elevations; however, as we climbed it became foggy and rainy. But we expected it, so we didn't mind.

As usual, Owen loved pressing buttons, opening drawers, and playing with the telescopes. All the stuff that's typical in a museum-type setting. And Logan was happy just being snuggled up with me. Which made me happy as well.
Since it was overcast, I was able to get some better pictures of Christine Falls. Last week, a terrible shadow was being cast over the water by the bridge. I love taking pictures of waterfalls. Not as much as taking pictures of my family, though :)
On our way back down, we stopped for a quick picnic lunch before heading home. So our Rainier NP pass has now paid for itself. If September can give us some decent weather, we'd love to do a quick overnighter at Cougar Rock. It's a beautiful campground between Longmire and Paradise. Fingers crossed!
