Owen's latest thing is the alphabet. A few weeks ago, Chris noticed that Owen was pointing to the word "Toshiba" and naming all the letters. Since then, we've discovered that he knows and recognizes about 20 letters. Owen has several Leapfrog toys that he plays with all the time, so I have to give the toys most of the credit. It's a little funny that the kid can't say his own name, but he can spell it.Owen has been spending lots of time outside. He loves the big dirt pile (result of the pond hole) and likes to climb it and slide down. He goes through about three changes of clothes a day. The dogs, especially Apollo, are great with him and put up with his "abuse". Owen's also becoming a bird-watcher with me. He loves the bright yellow goldfinches the best. He'll exclaim "birdie!" when he sees one on the feeder and then he'll start quacking. Yes, he thinks that all birds quack.
Owen's getting the hang of being an older brother. Sometimes he's a bit of a bully and will steal Logan's blanket or try to lay on top of him, but for the most part he's curious and likes to help. If Logan starts crying in the car, Owen will reach over and hold his hand. It's the cutest thing.
Logan's sneaking up on 3 months. He recognizes our voices and his movements are becoming less jerky. He has the cutest little smile and he's got a dimple on his right cheek. He seems to eat ALL the time (more than Owen) but he's still a string bean of a baby. Poor Logan only gets a few sentences while Owen gets 3 paragraphs. Oh well, there's only so much you can say about a baby :)
