We're planning a vacation for our 5th anniversary in October. A big vacation. I think we are about 99 percent sure on our destination. And because we are Chris and Mandy, our trip will be full of wild adventures and not kid-friendly at all. (We play hard... if you can't keep up with us, then stay home!) So now I just have to decide if I'm okay with being away from my kids for a week and a half. Yes, I know that plenty of people take vacations without their kids. But personally, I didn't have kids to just dump them off on other people all the time. The longest I've been away from Owen was when I was in the hospital having Logan. And obviously, I've never been away from Logan.
So right now, that's about the only thing that's stopping me from booking the trip.

Do it Mandy! It will be good for you and Chris to get some alone time and relax. You will miss them like crazy but you two need this!
If you do decide to go. Do lots of trial runs before the big trip. The first time I left Andrew..... well, it wasn't good. But we have done a couple since then and they have been fine. Just give them a frame of reference by practicing with whoever is going to watch them.
