Owen's Party

We held Owen's birthday party last Sunday afternoon. The weather was gorgeous and I considered moving the party outside. However, April weather can never be trusted so we stayed indoors. Owen's buddies showed up and they all had fun playing together.

Our neighbor Juan, who also happens to work with Chris, dressed up as a Mexican wrestler (?) and handed out treats and balloons. We'd had a clown planned, but it didn't work out so Juan offered to dress up for us at the last minute. The costume didn't go with the circus theme, but the kids didn't care. They loved him. And I have a feeling the pictures will be floating around the precinct soon.

When we sang Happy Birthday, Owen looked at Chris as if to say "Dad, they're singing to ME!"

Owen blew the candles out all by himself. In anticipation of his birthday, we had been practicing with candles. This was my favorite part of the day.

Yes, this was our entertainment. The kids loved him. Thanks again, Juan!
