Guy Stuff

Chris bought an early Christmas gift for him and Owen to share. It's a Nerf dart gun that Owen is obviously way too young for, but that didn't stop Chris from buying it. If you read between the lines, it's not hard to figure out what (who) their favorite target it. Yep, it's me. Anyway, their new toy has been keeping them occupied and they are having fun with it. Owen knows how to load the darts without help. He's not strong enough to pull the trigger by himself, but he can do it when Dad helps.
Chris already has his eye on a bigger Nerf gun. We'll see.

Some quick Laura news... her ship went through the Panama Canal early yesterday morning. They anchored overnight in Lake Gatun, and came back through the canal today. The ship will make its way back up to LA over the next several days. She'll be home just in time for Christmas and New Years, and then she gets to go to Australia and the South Pacific in January.

And some quick #2 news... today marked the official start of the third trimester. Other than the all-too-familiar leg itchiness I experienced when I was pregnant with Owen, everything continues to be great. Well, I'm tired and moving slower each day, but it's all good. I've gained about 12 pounds and if all goes well, I won't gain much more than 20-25 overall. Fingers crossed. I'm starting a very intense running/workout program as soon as I get the go-ahead in the spring. (There, I said it on my public website. Now I have to stick to it.) An old basketball rival-turned-friend will be my coach and I'm ready for her to kick my butt.
