My doctor's office called today and I was told that I'm anemic. No big deal.. actually that would partly explain where all my energy has gone. I'm starting an iron supplement tomorrow. Did you know that some pregnant women with iron deficiency will crave paper and clay? And if a pregnant woman craves either of those things, she is NOT to give in to the cravings and notify her doctor.
Well crap.
Those are my two favorite pregnancy foods. What am I supposed to do? Especially since the holidays are coming up, and I was looking forward to trying some new paper and clay recipes.
Since I had the nurse on the line, I asked her about this miserable stuffy nose I've had for 2 weeks. With Owen, I'd get stuffed up at night which is normal. With #2 I was stuffy at night until recently. Now it's 24 hours a day and I. CAN'T. STAND. IT. ANYMORE. I'm not sick which is a blessing. But a stuffy nose is certainly no fun. Believe it or not, it actually makes me feel claustrophobic (which I try not to think about.. just typing that word makes my heart beat faster). Anyway I'm all about avoiding meds at all costs when I'm pregnant but I've reached the point of desperation. I was given the green light to take a couple of things, so we'll see if I get any relief. And mom, I WILL TAKE YOUR ADVICE and sleep with the vaporizer (so you can quit bugging me now). Chris hates that thing, but he can deal for a couple nights.

If you would remove your fingers from your nose you would not be so stuffy!
I know.. it's such a bad habit of mine!
