Pumpkin Patch

I'm apparently going post-happy this week. Oh well.. we have a lot going on and if I don't write it down, I have a tendancy to forget. Owen had his 18-month checkup yesterday morning. Here are the stats:

Height: 35 inches (96 percentile)

Weight: 31lb 6oz (96 percentile)

Head: 20.5 inches (96 percentile)

So there you have it.. one very large, very well-proportioned kid. No wonder Chris and I are having back problems. The doctor feels that Owen is developing ahead of the curve, so I guess that means we're doing something right! I broke down and had him vaccinated against H1N1.

Owen and I hit the pumpkin patch yesterday afternoon. Honestly, I don't have time to carve pumpkins this year but I still wanted to take Owen to buy one (tradition, ya know). Chris has been too busy with work to join us, so Jen and John came along. The boys ran around together, we checked out the animals, and hit the corn maze. Luckily the weather was nice so we didn't get muddy.

Laura came over to watch Owen last night while I attended an HOA meeting. He was taking a late nap so her first hour was pretty uneventful. So unevenftul, in fact, that she sent me a text saying "your bath tub is AMAZING". I love that for me, a bath in our jetted airbath (with heater) is a huge luxury, yet my sister is with the kid for under 3 hours and has time to kick back and relax!

And lastly, I had a checkup today. Everything is going well, heartbeat's good, I've only gained about 3 pounds, and I was able to score an H1N1 vaccine. Sneaking up on 22 weeks...
