Chris and I picked up a little potty yesterday for Owen. He's showing a few signs of being ready for the potty, but not to where we feel we need to pound the pavement right now. I figure the first goal would be to just have him practice sitting on the potty, since he has a hard time sitting still for more than a few seconds. With the help of his favorite flash cards, he sat for three minutes! When he'd had enough he ran out of the bathroom, squatted, and peed/pooped right on the floor! I was laughing so hard (only because it was on the wood floor). We were so close!
I put Owen on the potty a couple more times during the day just to practice sitting. Each time, he sat for a few minutes while we worked on flash cards. No expectations.. but thrilled that he was sitting for that long.
After his bath, I decided to have him sit once more. And then it happened.. pee-pee in the potty! I called for Chris and we did a big victory dance. High-fives all around! I have no idea if Owen even understood what happened, but regardless.. my kid used the potty!

Way to go Owen.. Easton has constipation issues so we have been putting him on the potty for months. He poops on the potty but I have no clue when he will actually pee. I know seems backwards right??
HAHAHAHAA! Yay that he used the potty, but how freaking funny is it that he peed and pooped on your floor? Love it.
Oh well :-)
