Halloween was fun! Owen dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. I decided to put his costume together myself rather than buy a crappy costume from the store. Aunt Toni sewed his vest (thank you!) and he wore little cowboy boots. I think he made a fabulous Woody! He received many compliments.

Our friends Steve and Jen hosted a great Halloween party, and several of Owen's little buddies were there. They had a bounce house and lots of good food and snacks. When it was dark, we hit the streets for some trick-or-treating. I bought Owen a little pumpkin flashlight which he waved around proudly. After four or five houses, I think he began to figure out the concept: knock on the door, look cute, and get free candy. At a couple houses, he actually elbowed his way up to the door so he could be first! Already aggressive and competitive.. I sense he will be a great athlete someday.

We stopped by to visit my mom for a little while, and then we headed home. We had a fun night.. I can't remember the last time Chris and I were both home on Halloween. I'm glad we were able to enjoy Owen's first trick-or-treating together!
