Shed Is Done

We finally got around to painting our shed. We built is last summer but when we had time to paint, the weather never seemed to cooperate. We finally had a decent day that wasn't too hot and got everything done in half a day. Chris got to use his sprayer again, which in his eyes is just a big toy to play with.

A few days ago we visited Chris' grandma Pearl. She's been in and out of the hospital with various health issues. They're looking into placing her into an adult family home soon. Pearl was in good spirits and was happy to see Owen.

Yesterday my mom and I made a quick last-minute trip to the cabin. I've been wanting to take the old light fixtures down and sand/repaint them. Chris is going to rewire them as well, since the wire is pretty old. I had no one to watch Owen since it was last minute so we took him along. He ran around and checked everything out. We took him down to the creek and let him put his hands in the water. He had a great time, and although it was technically his first trip, I don't think it counts since it was a business (rather than pleasure) trip.

Here is a picture I took of Goat Creek, which is literally steps from the cabin. Next time I'll hike to the waterfall and get pictures of that too.
And here is a picture proving that girls can handle cabin improvement projects too.
