Happy 80th Birthday, Grandma

Our family is celebrating something big.. Grandma Mohar will be 80 years old. Isn't that amazing? She's such a special person to so many, so in honor of 80 wonderful years, I would like to present...

80 Things We Love About Mickey

1. She is a beautiful singer, and plays a mean tambourine.
2. She always cooked my eggs just the way I liked them growing up.. fried egg whites with no yolk.
3. She has pretty blue eyes.
4. She spent hours playing Memory and Hi-Ho Cherrio with my sister and me.
5. The way her face lights up when she sees Owen melts my heart.
6. She takes good care of Grandpa.
7. She says "oh, that's okay" when you say "thank you".
8. She always took us to the Sunnyside McDonald's so the hamburger man could poop us out.

What a great idea Mandy!! ~K

11. Every time I talk to her she makes me feel like the simple things I've done are huge accomplishments.
12. The fact that when she was in the hospital in her coma she squeezed my hand first. I freaked. Ask my mom. (12b. That she woke up and is now celebrating her 80th!)
13. When I stay overnight I always wake up smelling bacon and coffee, and even if I've slept in and everyone has already eaten she's still in the kitchen ready to whip something up.
14. When I was a kid I called her "Chicken Gramma" (don't ask - I was weird) and she was totally ok with that. Still is.
15. Her laugh.
16. Sometimes I say or do something and then say to Paul, "Oh my god, I am turning into my mother." And then I realize that my mom is just like her mother, and when I think of it that way, I'm ok with it ;-)
17. When Mom took me out at the farm to teach me how to drive, Gramma didn't blink an eye when I came flying around the corner and almost spun out on the gravel. I, on the other hand, almost wet myself.
18. Her love of reading. I inherited it.
19. The way she dances with Grampa.
20. Her unconditional love for ALL of us.
