It's Light

I love that it's light at 7pm. It makes me so excited for summer. I dislike spring, fall, and winter in the biggest way, and wish it could be summer all the time. I really don't think I'd tire of it. Isn't George Bush wonderful? Because of his energy act, we get to enjoy light evenings earlier in the year.

Owen is still working on his walking skills. He isn't able to do more than 2-3 steps at a time, so I haven't bothered with trying to get a video. Chris and I work with him a little on it, but we're letting him figure it out at his own pace. He had another tooth pop through yesterday, so he's up to 7 teeth now. Last week I let him finger paint. Yes, I realize he's only 10.5 months old and has no idea what he's doing.. but he loves to smear food all over the place so why not have him paint us a picture? I taped a piece of cardstock to the tray of his high chair, gave him a few drops of fingerpaint, and let him smear away. He loved it, and now I have a cool picture to put in his baby book. Best of all, he didn't make a mess. What a fantastic kid.

We have a busy month ahead of us. We're hosting a wine tasting party, traveling to eastern Washington to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday, and planning Owen's birthday party. The annual Niemann-Pick auction is also coming up and I'll be taking photos and doing whatever needs doing.
