Like everyone else around here, we've been getting a ton of snow. It's nice dry snow, and easy to shovel. Owen is too little to understand what it is but the cold weather isn't bothering him. We've been taking the dogs out to play quite a bit and Owen loves watching them from his stroller. One thing he isn't fond of is snow hitting him in the face. He doesn't fuss but he scrunches up his face and gives me this look of "are you really going to make me suffer like this?"
As usual the news is blowing everything out of proportion. Sure there's a lot of snow but the world doesn't have to come to a screeching halt. While we don't get as much snow as other parts of the country, we do get enough to where people should know how to handle it. People in Alaska don't complain.
We have this great neighbor named Rich. He has all kinds of toys including a quad. He's been
pulling his kids' sleds behind it and it's bringing back fond memories from the farm. Grandpa used to pull us behind the 3-wheeler the same way. I was talking to my dad about it yesterday... he said that Grandpa would pull him and the guys on the sleds too but showed them no mercy! Grandpa would take them up to the canal and back down through the orchards as fast as the 3-wheeler would go. If you were on Sled 1 or Sled 2 and fell off, it was crucial to roll out of the way or you'd get pummeled by Sled 3. Fun times.I finally kicked my cold to the curb. After 18 days of misery, I crawled out of bed at 7am Thursday morning and went back to the doctor. My cold had progressed to sinusitis which is treatable with antibiotics and Nasonex. After two days of meds, I am feeling SO much better. I'm finally able to get out and take care of Christmas stuff and work on my party.
Owen has decided that it's time to start growing some teeth. I bet he figured out that I'm serious... no teeth, no pizza. Yesterday morning I noticed his two lowers are visible. The right more than the left. He's going to look so different with teeth!

It is funny how once they have teeth I forget what they look like without them. At least until I have another baby that is!
Oh that's great his teeth are coming in finally!!! Alyssa is also finally crawling!!! I hope your party went well!
