The Kreugers held a reunion on Saturday at Mark and Kristi's house in Snoqualmie. Chris was unable to make it because of Seafair weekend (all of SPD is required to work...no chance of getting time off) so I picked up my mom and sister and we drove together. Owen hasn't had a chance to meet anyone on
that side of the family so we were excited. He's got 9 second cousins ranging in age from 8 weeks to 7 years. Owen wasn't even the youngest...Ben and Tracy just had Caleb in June. It was so cool to have everyone in the same place at the same time. It was loud with so many kids, but we all had a blast. We took some good pictures, including this one on the couch (Luke, Adam, Eve, Ana, Caleb, Owen, Gretchen, and Kendra... Aaron and Ruby were napping). I'm not sure how we got such a good picture with all those kids! I'm already excited for next year's reunion. Kristi and Teresa are both expecting so we'll have a couple more little ones to add to the chaos.Chris and I worked on the shed some more today. We'd planned to be so much further along with our yard and other projects by now, but Owen keeps us busy. We certainly weren't planning on a new baby in the midst of building a new house, but that's the way things usually work out. The shed wasn't even a priority until recently. Chris was pondering where to put the sprinkler controls and I had to open my big mouth and mention how cool it would be to run electricity to a shed and mount the controls in there. Which means a shed would need to come first. So I'll be without a yard for a while longer but I can deal. Barely :)
Laura has another week in Alaska coming up. She'll work a week, take a week off, then work another week. I'm kind of hoping she will stay on the week in between. I'd like to take Owen on board for a few hours when they are in port. I visited her on the ship a few times last year and had a lot of fun. Maybe this time I can be a stow-away.
