Yesterday was my first Mother's Day. It kind of felt like my birthday. I have always felt that it's special and important but now that I'm a mom myself, it felt different...because now it applies to me too! Every time I saw "Happy Mother's Day" on a restaurant reader board or heard the words on the radio, I thought "aww, they are talking to me!" What a special feeling. Chris let me pick out a necklace so I chose one that will have our three birthstones. He and Owen bought me a nice card, and I also scored a sweet new laptop :)We made a couple of quick stops to visit Chris' mom and my mom. We framed some pictures of Owen to give as gifts. Kathy gave me a hanging basket and my mom gave me a certificate for a manicure. I also received some lovely cards as well. At my mom's house, Laura treated us to pizza and as usual she and I had a little fun with the camera.

Today we went to visit Chris' grandma and take her a gift for Mother's Day. Owen is her first great-grandchild and we wanted to make sure we stopped by with a card and gift. As usual she had fresh cookies baked and we had a nice visit.
And before I forget...Shawn and Kelly Benshoof stopped by with their 2 year old son Zach on Saturday night for a quick visit. Zach was pretty impressed with Owen and I'm sure they will be good buddies someday. Kelly is pregnant again and I admit that seeing her tummy made me wish I was pregnant too!

Happy First Mothers day!! Can't believe that you want to be pregnant again seeing a pregnant lady...man you must have loved it :) I am happy to be over the carpal tunnel and heart burn.
