Since Laura is leaving again in a few days, we celebrated the holidays tonight. Mom cooked a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and we exchanged Christmas gifts. Laura's friend Michael has been in town for a few days (he's from LA and she worked with him on the Oosterdam) so he celebrated with us.
Chris and I had topsoil and sod delivered to the house yesterday. Our builder let us borrow his Bobcat so Chris had a fun time spreading the dirt. He had a cheesy half-smile on his face the entire time. I think he was thrilled to be driving a life-size Tonka truck. Today we laid the sod out. Well I'll clarify that...My dad, Chris' dad, and Chris laid the sod. I tried doing some of the work but my body wasn't cooperating much so we figured it would be better if I supervised. I've loaded a not-so-great video clip (taken with my cell phone so the quality is not very good) of them working:
I'm having a difficult time dealing with the idea that I'm starting to become limited in what I can do. I get tired easily and when I get hungry I have to drop what I'm doing to get food ASAP. I feel guilty that I can't help Chris much with the house. He understands of course and tells me not to worry, but it's still hard on me to not be working alongside him.
Today marks 16 weeks of pregnancy. Moving along...
