I had a doctor's appointment last week and it went well, so Chris and I decided it was okay to spill the beans. We heard the heartbeat on the Doppler again, and it was beating strong at 150 beats/minute. I set up my next ultrasound for Dec 18 and if the baby cooperates, we will find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I used to ONLY want a girl, but I've come to realize that I really don't care either way.
I went to Selah on Friday to help celebrate Grandpa Mohar's 85th birthday. My grandparents attend the weekly dances at the senior center and my aunts prepared a big lunch so we could celebrate with their friends. The next day all the cousins arrived at the house and we had a big family dinner. I wasn't planning on staying for that but changed my mind. It was fun to see everyone again. It's rare to have us all in the same place at the same time.We took Trooper to the vet for his tail (he wags it so hard that the tip breaks open and it wasn't healing). Chris was thinking that we may have to crop the entire tail but I adamantly said "no way". On the drive there I told Troop "don't worry, I'm on your side, sweetie!" The vet ended up taking a couple inches off and we're hoping it heals well. Trooper has a goofy bandage on it now and we'll go back in a few days to have it changed.
And finally to house news...the granite counters are in and much of the small finish work is being completed. The heater for the bathtub apparently hasn't shown up yet so the tub is still in the garage. The exterior paint looks good despite the fact that the trim is the wrong color (we asked for bright white and they used off-white). This is something that only anal-retentive Chris and I would notice of course. But they are going to re-paint it the correct color. I felt bad asking, but they are more than happy to get it right.
So yeah that's about it for now. And my tummy still itches.

Mandy and Chris,
Got the update from Gramma Nancy! Big time news. Other than the itchy belly and the fact that you may have to sleep in separate bedrooms (Teresa snored so loudly that I had to move to the guest room for our last two months before Ruby was born.)
Cool news about the house too. We're starting to look as the town house is getting small with Ruby starting to get mobile, but we're not super serious about it yet. Teresa is more than me.
Hope all is well. (Especially with Troopers tail).
Much love, Eric, Teresa, Ruby
