September Already

I can't believe it's September. Summer was uneventful and went by too fast. Maybe I shouldn't say uneventful, as we sold a house and are building a new one. But we had to stay in town while the house was on the market, so we only managed one camping trip and I didn't get to fly anywhere. We might sneak in a trip to Vegas for our anniversary in October if we're not too busy.

We picked up our paint today. Forty gallons of paint, forty gallons of primer, and an airless sprayer. We had a 10% off coupon and Behr has a rebate that's going to get us another $400 off, so we're stoked with all the money we are saving. We had a bit of a battle over the main downstairs color, but I caved and let Chris have his way. He agreed to the red dining room. The dining room ceiling will have this unique texture treatment, and I am going to try something new: a pearl glaze to give it some sheen. I think it's going to look really cool. We found a nice grayish-green for the den/piano room.

We took our dogs to play at the school down the street. They ran pretty hard and Trooper had the jello-leg thing going on the walk home. He was walking like he was drunk. When we got home, Apollo jumped right into the dog pool to cool off. They're fun dogs.

That's about it for now. Nothing too eventful going on.
