Friends and Food

Today I was able to spend a few hours with Veronica, one of my best friends. She had a baby recently and we haven't been able to see or talk to each other much. She drove down from Lynnwood and I took her out to Graham to see the house. The drywall was finally delivered yesterday. I'm not sure why there was a delay...it was supposed to arrive two weeks ago. Oh well, not a huge deal. I showed Veronica our house as well as the model, and then we had a late lunch at Red Robin and caught up. I miss her a lot.

Chris had training again today and on his way home stopped by Brad's house. Brad, his squadmate, was in a major car accident in February while responding to a call. He's recovering well and maintains a positive attitude. Plus it helps that his family is just amazing with their support. Anyway Chris lost track of time and called me around 7pm to see if I wanted to go to dinner with Brad and his wife Julie. We met at the Rock in Federal Way and Brad ordered SO MUCH food for us. It was nice to see them again.

So today was great. Good friends and good food. Although now I am feeling rather sick to my stomach. From the food, not the friends.
