Ocean Shores

We've been winding down from our various ailments and the cabin fever is bad. Yesterday morning, and I don't even remember how it came up, we began discussing vacation houses. Chris said "let's go to Ocean Shores today and look at property."

I don't even like Ocean Shores very much but I was more than happy at the idea of getting out of the house. I had a couple projects to tackle first and then we hit the road!

Spent a few hours driving all around the windy roads with our laptop, pulling over to grab flyers and peek in windows. It was rainy and windy, but fun nonetheless. Brainstormed during the drive home and came up with lots of ideas.

Not buying property anytime soon... just discussing some goals for the future and figuring out if and when we want to make anything a reality. So stay tuned.

I don't know that there are very many things in this life that I love doing more than having those long talks with the hubby about plans and dreams and what we'd like to do next. I really think that people that are happy in their lives spend a good amount of time doing just what you guys did. Sometimes, we'll lie awake half the night talking about the XYZ that we want to build, or blahblah that we want to visit. It's such fun! And we always seem to make it happen too.

We were out at Ocean Shores a few months back with the kids. I'm kinda with you on this one...it's not all that great of a place. But the ocean is soo amazing, and I often forget how fortunate we are to live so close to it. There are some really nice places for sale over there right now, and I have to admit that it would be pretty nice to be able to go and stay a weekend if I wanted to, instead of turn around and do the drive home.

Good luck with your decisions in the future about it, and happy daydreaming until then!!
