We went to the Puyallup Fair today. I've gone for 33 years now. Makes me feel kind of old.My mom showed up at the house yesterday with a couple free tickets (as she does every year), so we decided to go today. We knew we'd be risking big crowds by going on a Sunday, but we really lucked out. We were able to park up close and there were no lines on any of the rides. Best of all... the weather was perfect! My mom gave Owen $20 for rides so we bought tickets and dove right in.
Chris took him on the train first. Owen's really into trains right now.
Then Owen was carjacked. This kid totally cut in front when it was Owen's turn to ride. The mom was mortified, but Owen liked the idea of riding with a buddy. So it worked out just fine.
Owen wasn't so sure about the swings at first, but after a couple of rotations he flashed some huge smiles. I always loved riding the swings, so when Owen's older he and I can ride the bigger version together.
Owen also rode the helicopters and he and I went down the Super Slide together. He walked up all those stairs by himself! We wandered around the animal barns, Hobby Hall (in memory of my grandma), petting farm and a couple of the buildings before heading over to the antique carousel. I took Owen on first and he had so much fun, so Chris took him a second time.

I took a bunch of videos. I'll try to get some clips up soon.
