Chris and I hosted a reunion for his side of the family today. We had guests from as far away as Ocean Shores, the Tri-Cities, and Arizona. I've become good friends with a couple of Chris' cousins over the past year or two, and the three of us worked together to make this reunion happen. The event was supposed to take place outside. We put up a canopy, made sure there was plenty of seating, and I spent two
months getting my flowers to look their best. But Mother Nature had other plans, so this morning Chris and I decided to bring things indoors. I guess that's the beauty of living in a huge house... plenty of room for everyone.

Owen and Logan were eating up the attention and had fun with all the relatives. It was a long day but a fun one, and the cousins and I spent some time discussing reunion ideas for next year.
Chris' cousin Krista gave me a spiffy new haircut too. She has a salon down in Arizona and I'd been complaining to her about my hair for weeks. So she brought her scissors and I gave her permission to do whatever she wanted. My one request: leave me enough for a ponytail. She did, but barely :) I'm donating my hair to Locks of Love so she had to go a little shorter to get the 10-inch minimum. Chris isn't crazy about my hair but he'll get used to it. Pictures will come later. It's late and I'm too tired for self-portraits!
