Point Defiance Park is pretty amazing and it's easy to spend an entire day there. Besides seeing the zoo, there are gardens to wander, lots of picnic areas, Owen Beach (obviously need to get Owen's picture by the sign), the 5-mile drive, etc. Chris and I had our engagement photos taken in the gardens. Zoo, Here We Come
We decided to buy a Point Defiance Zoo membership this year. Personally, I'm not really a zoo person (I love animals, just not the small enclosures) but that doesn't mean I have to deprive my kids of going. Chris and I decided to pay a little extra and upgrade to the deluxe membership, which will allow us to bring three guests each time we visit. So, give me a call if you want to hit the zoo with us! Feel free to invite yourself so we can really get our money's worth. The membership is good for a year. If we use it enough, I'm sure we will renew.
