Watching your child learn new words is so much fun. Owen's vocabulary gets bigger every day. The best part: pronunciations. He will butcher some words so bad that only I know what he's saying, but he's so confident that he's getting them right and it's just priceless. For example: "shirt" comes out "dirt". And he says it with so much confidence. Chris and I think it's hilarious, and we're always trying to get him to say it. "Sleep" is "eep" and "soap" is "oap". Today, Owen spent the day with my mom and sister so Chris and I could focus on the pond. Laura drove him home in the "beep" (Jeep). She had a good laugh over his pronunciation of her vehicle.

Some more of Owen's words...
Macaroni : noni-oni
Socks: yocks
Popsicle: poka (yeah, that really sounds like popsicle, doesn't it?)
Read: ree
And another one of our favorites...
Logan: Whoa-yen
To give him credit, he correctly pronounces lots of words. Some of them actually surprise me a little. Today, he grabbed a popsicle from the freezer (which is a no-no) and walked up to me saying "bees? bees?" My sweet child was saying "please"! We haven't even worked on manners with him yet, so I was very proud to see him use "please" in the correct situation. Of course, I caved and let him have the popsicle :)
