Mother's Day

Yesterday we celebrated Mother's Day. Chris and the boys gave me an olive tree and I can't tell you how thrilled I am. I've wanted an olive tree for a long time but have never seen any for sale around here. Last year I considered ordering one online but never got around to it. Anyway, he found one locally and it's now on our pack patio. It's only 2 feet tall right now (I'm not sure how fast they grow) so I'll keep it potted for a while until I'm ready to place it in the ground.

Apparently there is a second gift on its way, but FedEx is taking their time delivering it. Chris is pretty upset, but I don't mind. It's fun to spread the gifts out over a couple of days.
Here's a picture of the rugrats on Mother's Day morning:
We worked on the pond area, and I planted some more flowers. We bbq'd, and then Chris went to work. Later that evening, I took the boys to see my mom for a few hours with flowers and a gift. Owen was supposed to walk the flowers up to her but became distracted and dropped them (he was so excited to see his Gramma Nan). Then he stepped on them, but they were fine.

And here is a sappy "isn't my husband a sweetheart" moment: Chris was re-doing a few things on his phone. He asked me to call him from my cell and when I did, "Beyond the Sea" started playing. That's always been our song. I always knew that guy had a soft spot!
