My Cutie

Owen brings the biggest smile to my face. We're so lucky to have him. A couple days ago I had a doctor's appointment so my sister took Owen to lunch and then to DeCoursey Park in Puyallup. I ended up driving to the park to meet them afterward and found my child surrounded by a bunch of ducks. He was feeding them his chicken nuggets (which were switched for goldfish crackers... the idea of ducks eating chicken is a little disturbing to me). It was so fun to watch him laugh. Eventually he began quacking along with the ducks, which was priceless.
Owen simply adores my sister. He can't say "Laura" yet. It comes out "Wah-wah?" or "Wah-rah?" (he usually puts a question mark at the end). His face lights up when he sees her, and he follows her everywhere. He's a lucky kid to have such a cool aunt.

Last night after Chris went to work, Owen brought his jacket to me and said "car?". I went ahead and put his jacket on (he insisted that I zip it up, too) and he said "car?" again. Next thing I knew, he was on the stairs waiting for his socks. At this point, I realized that we would be going for a ride in the car. I mean, who can resist a face like this?
When his socks were on, he even grabbed Logan's car seat and hat. So we headed out toward Kapowsin with the 80s station playing (XM Radio rules). After a little while we came home and it was time for Owen to go to bed. What a sweet pea :)
