Owen and I met my mom at the Rogers HS pool last night so she could take him swimming. I've been wanting to get him back in the water lately, and I thought it would be fun for my mom to take him. Owen hasn't been in a pool since summer, so he was a little unhappy for the first 15 minutes or so. But once he warmed up he really enjoyed himself and we were there for almost 90 minutes. I'd love to turn this into a once-a-week event. When he's older we will put him in lessons, but for now I think it's more fun for him to go with my mom or sister for some one-on-one time.
For the record, as a Puyallup Viking it's in my blood to hate Rogers HS. The only reason I stepped foot on their campus is because I'd rather have Owen pee in their pool instead of Puyallup's. And Rogers is closer to our house.

So does that mean it is the high school he will eventually go to? That might be a bit hard for you if it is.
No, we're in a different school district. Although when the time comes, I'd like to get a waiver to put him in the Puyallup district. He'd go to Emerald Ridge HS which is closer than Rogers. I can handle Emerald Ridge :)
What a nice gramma to brave showing herself in public in a swimsuit! Only for Owen would I do this :-)
It was fun!
Hey, when he is a little older ask Kelley to give him lessons! She coached for the Nadadores and gave lessons to little ones.
And Nancy, you are a Brave and WONDERFUL Grandma!!
