Fun Times

Owen and I have been having lots of fun together lately. My energy level is pretty low but I force myself to keep him as entertained as possible. On Tuesday we checked out a park that we hadn't been to before. Owen impressed me with his ability to handle the slide all by himself. He played on the toys for a while and then we went for a run on the football field. I'm sure I looked like a clumsy fool, but it was fun. On Wednesday, we met my mom for swimming again. Owen was so happy to see the water and got into the pool all by himself. And yesterday, he and I spent a couple hours with my mom in the school library. She's been wanting to add some color to the walls and asked me to be her "eyes" and help her hang decals. We worked while Owen checked out the library.

I had my 36 week appointment on Tuesday and everything continues to look good. The only concern is that the baby's position is less than ideal, and my doctor isn't sure that he'll move out of it. It's nothing incredibly serious but she showed me some exercises to try and coax him into a better position. If he doesn't move, the labor will be longer and more painful but I'm okay with that and mentally prepared for it. Twenty years of sports and sports-related injuries tend to make you a pretty tough girl.

For the record, I was in the same position when my mom was in labor with me and she ended up having an emergency C-section. I guess this is payback :)
