Another Memorial Has Passed

Chris and I attended yet another police memorial today, this time for Pierce County Deputy Kent Mundell. This one hit close to home for us, as we live inside the Mountain Detachment's jurisdiction (where Deputy Mundell was assigned). I can't believe we've gone to so many memorials in the past few weeks. Chris plans on attending the Grant County memorial, which will likely happen next week. I will probably stay home for this one, but I might change my mind.

My mom was able to watch Owen for us today. I think they wore each other out, because Owen was rubbing his eyes at 7pm, and when I talked to my mom at 7:30, she was already laying in bed!

Speaking of wearing my child out, Owen got to spend several hours with some new pals last week. My mom's friend Chris H (not to be confused with my husband) and her two daughters offered to watch Owen over the winter break for us. Chris H used to run an in-home daycare and misses working with the little ones. So we took her up on it, picked a day that worked for everyone, and dropped Owen off for about 5 hours. We ran a few errands and spent a couple of lazy hours at home while Owen played with his pals. I picked him up around 6pm and he was asleep before we got to the end of her street! So they definitely wore Owen out :) It makes me so happy when others show kindness and love toward my child.
