I met the Tall Girls (Dawn and Paula) on Wednesday for lunch. The Rock at Lake Tapps is turning into our preferred location, so we met there. Paula brought Alyssa, who is growing up to be the cutest little girl. The waitress brought some raw pizza dough for the kids to play with (which I thought was a cool idea). Owen showed off for Alyssa by pressing his cars into the dough. Lunch was great and I'm happy that we were able to get together. Paula is pregnant too, and we're thrilled that we get to be pregnant together for the second time! Dawn, hurry up and join us!
Chris and I are sick with nasty colds. Owen seems to be avoiding it, which I'm happy about, but yesterday I felt like we were abandoning him so we could rest. He was such a good boy.. it's like he understands we don't have energy to play, so he entertained himself. After feeling rotten all night, I woke up in tears because I didn't want Owen to have another boring day with sick parents. So he's with my dad today, and will be with my mom tomorrow if we need the help. Thank goodness for grandparents.
Being sick has given me time to finish my latest project. I just proof-read and edited all my 2008 blog entries and am having them bound into a hardcover book. I think I will do this each year, and it will be an annual Christmas gift for Owen and #2. I hope they will enjoy reading my journals someday with their families.
Happy Anniversary to my late grandparents, Jerry and Blanche Kreuger. They were married on October 3, 1942. I've been thinking of them a bunch lately.. not sure why. I miss them a lot.
