Good Guys 2009

I'm out of order (and I hate when I do that).. so backing up to Saturday. Chris would be so disappointed if I didn't document Owen's first car show. The Good Guys show has been coming to the Puyallup Fair for years, and in recent years has exploded and become quite huge. I went with Chris years ago when we were in college and it wasn't anything special. This year was way different. The show spanned the entire fairgrounds. There were cars as far as you could see. It was hot (85 degrees) so we lathered up the sunscreen and packed plenty of water.

Chris was in heaven but even he agreed that it was almost too much. I'm not into cars like he is, but I appreciate a good car (especially the Mustangs) and the hard work that goes into restoring it. I also like taking pictures of them, but it was hard in the bright sun.

The first car.. I have no idea what it is, but I loved the paint. It looked like a sunset. The second car is a 1963 Ford Falcon convertible, and Chris has one sitting in my mom's garage. It's his next project.

And at the end of the day, Owen enjoyed some of Uncle Derek's ice cream.

I get the first ride in the Falcon when Chris gets it restored and running. After all, it's like my child since it's been living in my garage for awhile now. I'm going to make him take me to Sonic Drive In for ice cream :-)
