We've been spending time outside when the sun is out. Last summer was spent installing sprinklers and planting grass, and this year we're focusing on plants and the pond. So on Saturday, we planted trees, shrubs, dahlia tubers, vegetables and fruit. My agricultural roots are really coming out (thanks, Grandpa!). I've got apples, grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, japapenos, garlic, basil, lettuce and pumpkins. Seriously, I'm a nerd.

Mother's Day was good. Chris and Owen bought me this really cool (huge) finch feeder that holds 11 pounds of seed. We have a ton of goldfinches and red house finches out here, so I always try to have plenty of thistle seed for them to eat (I told you I'm a nerd). We had a BBQ at our house.. our parents, my sister, and Chris' grandma came and hung out for a few hours. I have to pat myself on the back.. my ice cream pie was fantastic.

I started a new workout program last Wednesday. Jillian Michaels, I love you. I've lost 5 pounds in one week. As of today I'm adding in alternating days of weights and cardio so let's see what happens. I'm pretty sore but am pushing through it.
