Valentine's Day

I'm a little out of order here.. sorry.

Last week (Friday the 13th, wooooo!) Chris and I went to Station 56 again to see the band play. Brad and Julie were there as usual, and this time Juan and Jennifer were able to go! Owen stayed overnight at my dad's. Dad had his rotator cuff surgery last week and it went well. I was surprised to see that he was still able to get down on the floor and play with Owen.

On to Valentine's Day. We spent the doing what we do best.. projects around the house! (It's how we show our love for each other.) We installed floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in our bonus room and I love them. We found them at Ikea of all places... perfect size and color. We plan on gluing molding to the tops to make them look built in. Now I'm working on drapery. I'm visualizing peacock blue for a nice punch of color...maybe in a crushed velvet. Eventually, that room will be turned into a movie room with a projector. It's tempting to do it now but we have other projects that we should get to first.

Anyway I'll finish up with a couple pictures of Owen in his Valentine glory. My grandparents sent him the red and pink lion which Owen loves to grab by the neck and hug with all his might. And he had a blast playing with the balloon from my mom.
