Catching Up

I've been getting bugged for another update. We've been pretty busy the last week and I haven't had much of a chance to sit down and write anything. And it hit me last night that I haven't touched my camera in a week which is a LONG time for me!

Owen spent a couple hours with our neighbor Jennifer last week. It was his first time being watched by someone we aren't related to. He loves going to Jennifer's house because she pulls out the kitchen utensils for him to play with. Owen really digs the measuring cups. Anyway Jennifer has offered to watch him several times and I finally took her up on it. They had fun and she is so good with him.

Chris and I went to see Bent play again with Cameron/Beth and Brad/Julie. Beth is 7 months pregnant and we're excited that she's having a boy. My mom came over and stayed with Party Animal Owen and kept him under control.

We helped move Chris' grandma into an assisted living community over the weekend. It's a pretty nice place with lots of ammenities. I kind of wanted to move in myself. It reminded Chris and me of our dorm days at Central. Pearl said she did well her first night.. I'm sure it will take a little getting used to.

Owen's a couple days from 9 months and he's been keeping us pretty busy lately. He wants to be on the floor all the time so he can work on crawling and standing up. Yesterday, in hopes of tiring him out a little, we let him tackle the stairs. He made it up 16 steps in about four minutes. He did it again two more times last night. I'm a little concerned at the amount of food he's eating but I'd imagine he needs the extra calories from all his moving around. He has a check-up next week.

Looks like I'm caught up now. Nothing excitingly great.. just a lot of busy work going on here.
