Good Advice

I ran across a piece of good advice in one of my magazines. It said "only be friends with people who make you feel great". It made me think about my friends, and how they really do make me feel great. I hope I make them feel great too. I ended a 5-year friendship with someone earlier this year who was not a good friend. I've never had to work so hard to get along with someone before, and after awhile became apparent this individual wasn't worth my time. I've learned to be a better judge of character. I've strengthened my bonds with those I was already close to, and I've formed some new friendships that I'm very excited about. From now on I only associate with positive people.

And on to my favorite subject: Owen! He has this fantastic Baby Einstein entertainer that he just loves. He sits in the seat and bounces away. He pushes the piano keys and plays music. I will sit in front of him and ask him to put on a concert for me, and he always obliges. He'll often throw in some vocals and choreography, which are my favorite. He's been saying "ma ma ma ma" for the past several days and it melts my heart! I'm trying to get him to say "da da" so Chris doesn't feel left out, and he started saying it today. He's a babbler. And the cutest little boy I've ever seen! I love his brown hair and hazel-ish eyes. And those eyelashes! He gets them from Chris.

I helped out at the Veterans Day assembly at my mom's school this morning. I prepared all the slideshow presentations and as usual my mom put on a fabulous show. There were several veterans in attendance and the kids did a wonderful job of showing their appreciation.

Yeah I know who you're talking about. Glad you're rid of her. She's no good.

Good point about the friends. I feel lucky to have you as a friend. You're a wonderful person and you deserve only friends who are good to you. Love ya! Dawn
