Good news. The grass in our backyard started growing a few days ago (after 7 days) and I'm really excited. The weather has been cool but we're still in the temperature range for grass to germinate. We have green fuzz.
We attended the Seattle Police Foundation awards banquet Saturday night at the downtown Sheraton. Chris won an award for his part in the Spider training project. We went with Brad and Julie. Rocky, one of the DOC officers, kept us thoroughly entertained, and we'll just leave it at that. It was a fun night, topped off by a fantastic Jack in the Box meal at 2am. Brad's treat.
Chris is in Vegas with Cameron, Brad and Julie. I'm a little jealous (okay I'm really jealous) that I'm not there as well, but I don't think Vegas would have been fun with Owen. He's more about Sesame Street than the Strip. Anyway I'm keeping busy by visiting with neighbors and friends (I saw Missy today!) and my mom came over to work on school projects today. Chris said he'd take me to Whistler this winter to make up for leaving me at home. No complaints there :)

You will have fun in Whistler. I can only imagine how hopping it is in the winter. It was busy enough in the summer! Do you guys plan on staying in the village?
