Chris and I have been working so hard on our back yard. We've been lucky to have decent days to work outside and we're taking full advantage of the nice weather. Kathy is on strike from Boeing so she's been able to come over a couple times to entertain Owen while we work. It's going to be tough but our goal is to have seed down by the first weekend in October. The Farmer's Almanac is predicting a nice October so we're hoping to get lucky and catch at least a week of nice weather for the seed to germinate. And if October is crappy and the grass doesn't grow, then we'll re-seed in the spring.
Anyway now on to fun stuff. Owen is really getting big. We have another couple weeks until his next appointment with the doctor but I'm guessing he's around 20 pounds. My shoulder blades are killing me from carrying him all the time, but one of these days I'll look in the mirror and hopefully have a nice toned upper back. He's tried a few more foods and continues to like everything we give him. My mom warned that bananas might constipate him and she was right. It hasn't seemed to bother him very much though. He loves the dogs and cat. I can't wait until Owen's big enough to run around and play with the dogs. Apollo especially is really good with him. We're planning on squeezing in one last camping trip in October. I think we're going to the north Cascades with Terry and Kathy. I'm still trying to talk Chris into the beach but I don't think I'm going to win. There's a place I want to check out but it will probably have to wait until next year.
