Owen attended his first Mariners game on Thursday. Eric and Sonya called from Ellensburg and asked if we wanted to meet them in Seattle. Their daughter Hailey is 6 months old and both she and Owen were decked out in Mariners gear. We bought tickets in the cheap seats but found my Aunt Karen who works in section 105, and she invited us to sit there. Owen seemed to enjoy himself except for the trains. They were a little loud for him.We celebrated Chris' birthday on Friday. He wanted to keep it low-key so we just had a small family celebration. My mom baked him a giant Chris-sized cake (he wanted chocolate raspberry this year) and we went to dinner with his parents and grandma. Owen helped Chris open gifts and was mesmerized by the candles. Great, a kid that likes fire.
Owen giggled for the first on Friday but Chris was talking to his dad and didn't hear him. He giggled for Chris last night while I was out picking up dinner. We're hoping that today he will giggle for both of us at the same time! He found his feet last week and seems pretty impressed with them. He hasn't put them in his mouth yet but I'm sure that will happen very soon. We continue to have so much fun with him and love watching him hit milestones. Chris continues to heal from his car accident. He's been seeing the chiropractor and massage therapist. He still has a lot of soreness and stiffness in his neck and shoulders but the chiropractor is seeing improvement. He was initially going to be out of work for 2 weeks but if he continues to have problems with turning his head, he will have to stay out longer. Of course he wrecked his car when we've got big yard projects going on, but I've been able to take over a lot of the work. It's good for me.
