After putting it off for a couple of weeks, I finally had my mom and Kathy over to work on the baby's room. I made my leafy stencil a couple nights ago and traced it on the wall. I let Chris pick the paint color because I was being too picky and couldn't come up with a decision (he did a good job). Mom brought an overhead projector home from school so I could trace a 6.5-foot giraffe on the wall. I'll also have a monkey hanging from the ceiling. I'll paint them in a couple days. I'll continue to poke away at the foliage...the dark green needs a second coat.
I'm kind of embarassed to post a picture of my pregnant belly because it's kind of misleading. After working a 12-hour day on Saturday, I came home with stiff hands and very swollen ankles. I jumped on the scale when I got home and was rather disgusted to learn that I had gained 9 pounds since that morning. So I'm obviously retaining a ridiculous amount of water and I look huge. As of this morning, I've lost 3 of those pounds. I'm drinking a ton of water and trying (not very well) to stay off my feet.Chris and Terry were not about to hang out in the baby's room so they worked in the garage. When we built the house, we asked the builder to kick the third bay back another 10 feet so Chris could have more work space. Since the ceiling is 12 feet tall, he decided he wanted to build a storage loft over the work area. So he and his dad got started on that. I'll post a picture when I write again in a few days. It's going to be great to have all that extra storage.
In a couple of days, I'll be 34 weeks along. My appointments continue to go well, my doctor is thrilled with my minimal weight gain (with the exception of this water weight of course!) and my measurments are exactly where they need to be. April 30 is sneaking up!
