Getting the Room Ready

Yesterday we bought our first box of diapers and wipes and it made us feel very grown-up! Haha...it was pretty weird actually. We've continued to poke away in the baby's room and I finally took a couple pictures of the crib and bedding. Chris mounted all the hardware for the curtains but I've been a little lazy in hanging them. I will likely get around to that today. I hope to have our moms over this weekend to do a little painting in there. I'd like to mimic some of the foliage seen in the bedding and paint it on the walls.
I'm also toying with painting a giraffe on the wall but am not sure if that's what I want to do yet. I had an appointment with the doctor again last week and things continue to go very well. I haven't gained much weight which is nice, because it's less weight that I'll have to worry about after he's born. As of today, I am 8 months along.


I tagged along with Chris, Terry, and Derek to some hot rod show at Qwest Field last Friday. I actually lasted longer than we thought I would! I've been having some foot and lower back issues so all the walking/standing was a little hard. I'm not much of a car person but there were some impressive vehicles on display. Of course I really only care about the pretty paint jobs but at least I make an effort to share some of Chris' interests! I think he just wanted to start exposing the baby to cars.

It's a gorgeous day today and I'm waiting for Chris to get home from some errands so we can take the dogs out. I'm loving the sunny days we've been having...makes me look forward to the camping trips we're planning to take this summer! I hope the baby likes camping. He won't really have a choice :)
