Floor and Paint

Chris finished installing the flooring a couple days ago. It took him 5 days to install 1300 square feet. Not too bad considering it's only his 3rd floor. It looks nice with the color of the cabinets and trim. The other night I was able to paint the dining room and bathroom while Chris finished the floor. The paint picture was taken at night with shoplights so it looks scary like McDonald's, but in real life the colors look fantastic together.

The trim guys are currently working upstairs and will make their way downstairs. The dining room and den/music room will have brown wainscoting which I can't wait to see.

More Laura news...she decided to stay on another week, and is coming home this Saturday. This week she's been working on a chartered lesbian cruise. For disco night, she and 3 others dressed up as the Village People. Yeah, that's my sister on the right.

She has been at sea since August 4 and I'm sure she's ready for a break. Although it sounds like she is already excited about her next contract. She's going to beat me to some of the places I've always wanted to see (Costa Rica, Ecuador, Tahiti, Marquesas). We're celebrating the holidays early since she leaves again in November.
