Thankful: Day 9

9. I am thankful for cell phones. Seriously, they are the best thing ever. I'm not married to mine like most people I know. I don't update my Facebook from it because really, who cares if I'm walking down the street in Madrid? What a way to scream "I'm not home." If I leave it at home I don't go into a panic. But isn't text messaging the best thing ever? Email is obsolete. Even voicemails are old fashioned. I get so annoyed when someone leaves me a voicemail (sorry, just being honest). It's so much easier to read a quick text.

My mom loves texting. She texts like a teenager. No joke... that woman can reach 1000 per month. And this was before we bought her a phone with a QWERTY keyboard. So we'll see what she can do now. She'll totally take that as a challenge, too.
