I put all my heart and soul into my dancing performances. I usually break a sweat. I even wore light-up glasses to the game last week. But nothing.
At last night's game, Jen and I wandered around to take pictures. We made our way back to our section and I heard a lot of cheering. Looked up and saw a guy dancing in the aisle. He was wearing a fluorescent green sweatshirt. Looked up and saw a guy dancing on the big screen. He was.... what? Also.... wearing a fluorescent green sweatshirt. My brain quickly began putting two and two together...
Without even sitting down, I stashed my camera and ran to join Fluorescent Green Man in a dance. Looked up, and THERE WE WERE on the screen. Okay, so maybe I cheated a little by piggy-backing off him. But still. They cut away to some other dancers (who were definitely not in the same league as us) but then they CUT BACK TO US! Apparently the Safeco camera crew knows talent when they see it, because we were on screen for about 30 seconds.
When the song was finished, I turned around to see my group staring at me in disbelief. I think my behavior startled them a little! I sat down and in a pitiful tone, said "well that was really cool, but there's no proof. Bummer."
Beep.
That would be my mom's phone receiving a text message.
"Way to shake it. We got a picture."
What. The. Heck?
My mom's friend Roxanne and her husband Harry were sitting in left field. They saw me on the screen, recognized me, and snapped a picture. So here you go, friends and family. The proof:
