The Reptile Man

Chris and I took the boys to see the Reptile Man (well technically, the Reptile Man's son) at Habitat Park on South Hill. We knew that Owen wouldn't care about the discussion/lecture part, but we knew that he'd love the hands-on time afterward. We were right! Owen loved the alligator, lizards, and especially the big tortoise. He wasn't so sure about the boa constrictor, but he was brave and touched it anyway.

Owen really liked the tortoise's face. He would stroke its head, and then he got right down on the floor so they could see eye-to-eye. Owen was very gentle with his new friend.
Logan even sat down with the tortoise for a closer look.Check out Owen as he pets the alligator! He had a big smile on his face the whole time.And right before we left, one of the parks employees said "Wait! Would he like to hold this little guy?" So Owen sat down and held a small lizard. Again, he knew to be gentle and quiet while he held his new friend.
