Stuff Around the House

Chris took a couple nights off from work, which gave him a 4-day weekend. Because of the rain, we were able to tackle a few indoor projects that we've been neglecting. Chris started laying out his garage cabinets, which will be a huge project. On Monday, since the weather was nice, we were able to get back outside and work on the pond. It's still just a really big hole, but it's taking shape. We're slowly acquiring parts and will begin building the walls and piecing things together soon.

Random spur-of-the-moment project: last summer my aunt and uncle gave us their patio set. It's in great shape but the color (green) clashed horribly with the color of our house (different shade of green). So today I decided to paint it black. The chairs are almost finished but I'll have to take the table apart, so I'll need Chris to help. It's looking very nice.

Yesterday, Laura stopped by to visit. Owen was thrilled as usual, because Laura is his favorite person. She left while I was putting him down for a nap, and when he woke up he started looking for her. He was calling out "Wah-wah?" while wandering around the house. He was looking out the windows and seemed really sad when he couldn't find her. I let him know she'd be back soon.

Speaking of Owen, he's got two molars coming in on top. He's not cranky or anything. He's been drooling a little bit, which is the only reason we even checked his mouth. What a stud.

And Logan is still Logan. Three nights ago, I decided to cut the cord and put him in his own room. I had been waiting for him to hit seven or eight hour stretches of sleep at night, and he's been doing that for about a week. His first night went okay, and he lasted five hours. The next night was great and he slept seven hours. Logan will be 12 weeks old on Thursday. How time flies.
