The past several days have been tiring. Chris fought a slight cold for a few days before getting hit with the flu. Luckily it was short-lived, but he was down for the count. He felt awful that I was put in the position of caring for him while keeping up with Owen/housework/dogs. But I didn't mind, and we managed. On Saturday, my mom called and offered to take Owen for a few hours so Chris and I could rest. I was ready to decline but Chris said "take her up on it". So she picked Owen up and took him to her house, but rather than rest I went outside and mowed the lawn (38 weeks pregnant!). Chris came out for a little while and raked a flower bed out for me. The fresh air and exercise felt so nice.
Owen is still doing great in his big bed. We rarely need to put him in the crib anymore, so I think we're ready to take it out of his room. Now that Owen's been granted a little more freedom and responsibility, he seems to take a lot of pride in his room and loves spending time there.
My work in #2's room is beginning to come to an end. I haven't felt a rush to finish it so I've been poking away when I have the time and energy. I have a couple of art projects that will need Chris' help, and I have a little more painting to do (the tedious kind where I have to be in the right mood). I'll post pictures when I'm finished.
