More Summer Stuff

Juan and Jen had a BBQ the other night. Chris was able to make it for an hour before heading off to work. I stayed for several more hours and visited with good friends. Owen hung out with his little buddy Oliver (Cameron and Beth's 5 month old son). Owen was pretty interested in holding Oliver's hand and letting him suck on his fingers (ick, but it made them both happy). Owen was also interested in the older boys' soccer game because he's been learning how to kick the ball around, but they would have trampled him.

Chris' cousin Derek was in town so we went to a BBQ at his aunt and uncle's house. Owen must have a thing for outdoor summer sports, because he was in giggle fits over the badminton game. We had a nice time catching up with Derek and the rest of the family.

Yesterday, we were able to spend a few hours with Krista, another of Chris' cousins. She's been in town from Mesa, AZ for the past couple weeks. She emailed me a while back, asking if we could get together. So we met in Lynnwood and had dinner at Buca di Beppo (my new favorite restaurant). It was her first time meeting Owen.

Chris and I are thinking of doing another WA-AZ road trip. I'd like to go at the end of September or early/mid October. It depends on when Chris can get the time off. Hope it works out! I haven't gotten to travel outside the state since Owen was born.

I will leave you with a picture of Owen in his new Big Boy undies. He's been pulling his diaper off, and the undies seem to work at keeping it on.
