We had a nice Father's Day today. When Chris woke up, Owen and I had his gifts ready. We gave him a framed photo of the two of them together at Mt. St. Helens and a couple of DVD box sets he's been wanting. We also made him an ice cream pie, one of his favorite desserts.Later in the day, we went to a family gathering at Tom and Toni's. My
grandparents were in town for the weekend so we celebrated Father's Day with a wonderful dinner. Grandpa, always the handyman, presented Owen with a handmade banjo from scrap wood around the house. I'm sure there will be other handmade gifts to follow.. I still have rubber band guns, bows and arrows, and slingshots that Grandpa made for me. Now Owen gets to start a collection. We walked to the property behind Tom and Toni's so Owen could see the sheep.
He kept trying to reach through the fence to pet them, but they were skiddish and kept a little distance. He loves animals so much.So in all.. a very nice day. We didn't have time to visit my dad or Terry, but we will celebrate with them another day.
