Today Owen celebrated his first Easter. Jen and I helped put together a community Easter egg hunt in our park, and the rain let up just long enough for everyone to stay dry. We probably had around 15 kids show up, and Owen found 17 eggs. He even placed them in his basket. Toward the end of the hunt, the Easter Bunny made a surprise appearance! We had a nice dinner at our house. My mom, Terry & Kathy, and Kelley & Paul came over for a few hours. Owen was great and showed everyone his walking skills. He's getting better, and he's so fun to watch.
Chris and I took advantage of a few dry days and tackled our front yard. We planted a bunch of plants, installed a fountain, and spread bark. It feels so good to have that complete. We will now start poking away at the back, which will include the 1500 gallon pond. It will take us a while but we're looking forward to it.
We're counting down the days until Owen's birthday and have been feeling sentimental. One year ago, I'd already been in the hospital for 2 days. I'd been induced, which was later reversed. So we were just playing the waiting game. Click here to read a post that I wrote a year ago...

WAy to go organizing the community hunt!! It is very sentimental at the 1 year birthday, feels like you just gave birth.
